Hi. I have the Quilts for Babes all packaged up and ready to mail to
Kathy if Magnolia Designs, but thought I'd share a pic of the quilting on Quilt #2. I think it turned out really cute, but then perhaps I'm biased. PS - I have two other Quilts for Babes started. Stay tuned!
Oh MY GOODNESS...Debbie...I'm gonna cry it's so pretty! Could I fly out to take some personal quilting lessons. I am just learning to free motion quilt, and I am F.R.U.S.T.E.R.A.T.E.D. to say the least! I am overwhelmed at your generosity. Check out my blog, the project was featured in an article in the Winnipeg Free Press today. You can read the story online as well. I am thrilled!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful quilting! I saw the article about Lawson in today's paper and 'googled' Magnolia Designs for the blog. I have a grandson the same age (born 7/12/09) so I've jumped from blog to blog reading about the quilt project. I don't know that I can sew any blocks before May 1 but I'd like to contribute if I can. I'm in Wpg but have some online quilting friends in your area and have visited the Sierra Nevada area a few times!I started sewing in 5th grade and took my 1st quilting class in '89. Thanks sew much for supporting a Canadian project. Hope to keep in touch... Sue in Wpg
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy and Sue for your comments. Sue - you may not have blocks done by May 1, but I bet Kathy will still accept them after that date. Feel free to look me up if you get back to the Sierra Nevada area!
ReplyDeleteI got the package you sent Debbie...I almost fell over because they are both even more gorgeous in person! I am so grateful for the beautiful quilts...I want to keep them, but know that the babies will LOVE them as much as I do. You know it fabulous when even your husband comments on how much he loves them. He's never seen a quilt that looks so great...he's used to seeing all of my imperfect ones...lol! I'm serious, I want YOU to teach me FMQ...
ReplyDeleteLove, Kathy
