Travel Advice Needed
Help! I'm planning a trip for the end of December through the beginning of January and need some suggestions. First. The trip will be international (outside the US). Second, we like warmer climates. Third, we like to get out, explore the country, drive, hike, bike, whatever it takes to experience the culture. I have spent time looking at places such as Thailand, Chile, Costa Rica and just can't decide on a destination. Can any of you offer any suggestions? My hubby and I are looking for something other than sitting by a pool. Please leave me your suggestions!

Debbie, We should get together with our good friends Shauna and John who have been to Thailand many times and John also taught there. They have also been to Vietnam and loved it. How about we do that? They are great and we could meet around our new island :) John loves to give people travel tips and he is very enthusiastic about travel to Asia...let me know if you want to set it up. In fact give me a call! Pam
ReplyDeleteDuring our cool season, Australia is very warm. Santa wears short. Outside of Sydney, there are many place to hike. Just remember, it's very humid.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam and Brandie. I'll follow up with you, Pam, on the Asia connection. We were in Australia a few years ago for Christmas (in Sydney) and New Years (in Caines), so will probably go elsewhere this year, although we do hope to some day make a return trip. We especially loved Bondi Beach!
ReplyDeleteI've just seen a contest on Eddie Bauer about the Galapagos (sp) Islands. I've forwarded an email to you regarding what goes on. Sounds like fun.

New Zealand is incredible at that time of year (especially the South Island). Lots of outdoor things to do, amazing scenery, incredibly diverse terrain (beautiful beaches, lush forests, and the hiking is to die for), cities are great, people are friendly. Can't say enough wonderful things about it.
